About

Operations, rebuilt as software that works

I'm Daniel Bracher, a Solutions Engineer and the founder of AREYOUFASTER CIC. I help startups, SMEs, charities and teams inside larger organisations replace manual admin, messy spreadsheets and disconnected tools with practical systems built around the way they actually work.

Who I help

Organisations carrying too much manual work

If your team loses hours to repetitive admin, your reporting lives in fragile spreadsheets, or your tools don't talk to each other, that's exactly where I do my best work. I take on whole systems for startups, SMEs, charities and CICs, and defined projects, pilots or training for teams inside larger organisations. If it needs enterprise-scale delivery, I'll say so and connect you with the right specialists.

I came to software from the operational side: five years in logistics and production, five in compliance and SHEQ, three in the VCSE sector, spent working around clunky systems, rekeyed spreadsheets and reports rebuilt by hand. I have lived the problems I now solve, and that is why every project starts with the problem rather than the technology.

What a Solutions Engineer does

A plain-English definition

A Solutions Engineer sits between the business problem and the software. Rather than selling you a fixed product, I figure out what you actually need, then design and build the system to match, so the technology fits the problem, not the other way around.

01

Start with the problem, not the tech

I sit down with how your business actually runs (the spreadsheets, the repeated emails, the steps people dread) and find the real bottleneck before writing a line of code.

02

Design the system around it

I turn that problem into a clear plan: what the tool needs to do, what it deliberately won't do, and how it fits the way your team already works.

03

Build, test and hand it over

Then I build the working version (website, automation, dashboard, app or AI tool), test it properly, and refine it with you until it earns its place in your day to day.

I read every enquiry myself

No account managers, no handoffs. You talk to the person who builds the thing, from the first call to the final handover.

I'll tell you if I'm not the fit

If your project needs a specialist or a bigger team, I'll say so and point you to the right people. An honest no saves us both time.

You own what I build

Every project is documented and handed over outright. Keep it as is, or keep me on a retainer to grow it, your call, no lock-in.

The credentials

What's behind the work

A few markers worth knowing, each in plain English, so they mean something rather than just looking impressive.

Solutions Engineer

I translate an operational problem into working software: I scope, build and ship the whole thing end to end.

Longford Trust Scholar

A competitive scholarship awarded on merit and potential, a marker of being trusted to deliver, not just to study.

Project Remake Graduate

A structured programme completed in full, evidence of seeing committed work through to the finish.

Biology BSc, final year

A scientific background that shows in how I work: evidence first, test the assumption, then commit to the build.

The company

The company behind the work

The company behind this work is Are You Faster CIC, which I founded in 2025. Its first product is Are You Faster?, a GPS movement game, free on iOS and Android. I designed and built it, and it taught me what shipping a real product takes. The company delivers software for small organisations, and because it is a community interest company its assets are locked, with the majority of any profit kept for community benefit under CIC law. When we work together, your agreement and invoice come from the CIC. The person who scopes, builds and answers is me.
