Interactive games I've built
Another category of things I make, for the fun of it. Each is a small, honest build: one parses language, one searches a solution space, and one simulates a living system. Play them.
A live syllable-counting engine judges your haiku against 5-7-5, with a deadpan sensei.

Syllable Sensei
Write a haiku. Five, seven, five. The sensei is watching, and counting.
The Sensei
“The mat is swept. Seventeen syllables. Begin when the mind is quiet.”
Line 1 has 0 syllables, target is 5.
Line 2 has 0 syllables, target is 7.
Line 3 has 0 syllables, target is 5.
Tip: slip in a season word for a bonus. Try moon, snow, cicada, blossom.
English syllables resist tidy rules, so this counter is a best guess. When it is plainly wrong, use Override to overrule it. Honest overrides skip the +20 clean count bonus, but a valid haiku still scores.
Syllable Sensei is a haiku game. Write three lines targeting five, seven, and five syllables. A live counter shows each line’s syllables against its target and turns green when matched. Submit a valid haiku within the seventy-five second round to score one hundred points, plus sixty for a season word and twenty for a clean count with no override. Season words include: snow, frost, moon, blossom, cherry, autumn, spring, summer, winter, rain, cicada, leaves, leaf, crow, pond, wind, plum, harvest, dew, mist, ice, warbler, firefly, maple.
