Terms of use

Last updated 9 October 2026

These terms cover your use of this website. By using the site you accept them. The site is operated by Are You Faster CIC (company number 16536715).

Using the site

  • You may use this website for lawful purposes only.
  • You must not attempt to disrupt, attack, gain unauthorised access to, or misuse the site or its systems.
  • You must not submit content that is unlawful, false, abusive, or that infringes anyone's rights.

Enquiries and projects

Sending an enquiry through this site does not create a contract or any obligation on either side. Any work would be carried out under a separate written agreement setting out scope, price and terms.

The SOLVED Studio

The SOLVED Studio is a free learning tool. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, and that access is for your own use. You may choose to share one Workbench problem with a coach, or join a group; if you run a group yourself, you are responsible for the names and numbers other people share with you there. Anything you save must be lawful and is your responsibility. The Studio is provided as is; I may change, pause or withdraw it, and I may remove an account or content that breaks these terms.

In the app

The SOLVED app is published by AREYOUFASTER CIC under the application id com.areyoufaster.solved, and these terms cover it exactly as they cover this website. The app teaches a method, and it does not give professional advice.

  • No AI assistant of our own. The app does not provide an AI assistant. What a third-party assistant says is that vendor's own output, under that vendor's own terms, and you stay the judge of it.
  • Simulated exchanges are labelled. Any simulated exchange in the app carries the Simulated label. It is not a real assistant, and it is not affiliated with any vendor.
  • Free, nothing to buy. The app is free, with nothing to buy inside it.

Demonstrations and examples

The interactive product demonstrations on this site (the Product Lab) are illustrative examples built to show the kind of software I can design. The companies, people, contact details and records shown in them are fictional sample data. They are not real client projects, and any resemblance to a real organisation or person is coincidental. Any AI-related outputs shown are pre-written examples, not the result of a live AI model.

Payments, invoices and retainers

  • Invoices are issued by Are You Faster CIC and processed by Stripe. Payment is made on Stripe's secure pages; we never ask for card details by email or phone, and any such request should be treated as fraud and reported to us.
  • Monthly retainers are billed one month in advance. If a renewal payment fails, your service always continues to the end of the month already paid for while automatic reminders are sent.
  • If the renewal has still not been paid by the end of that paid month, the agreement simply ends. Any pause or ending of a hosted service is applied by a person after checking the payment records, never automatically.
  • A service that has ended for non-payment can usually be restored promptly once the outstanding amount is settled, by agreement.
  • We are not VAT registered; invoices do not include VAT.

The free landing page offer

  • The free landing page for new CICs and start-ups is a goodwill offer, not a contract: places are limited to what can genuinely be delivered well, eligibility is at my reasonable discretion, and sending a brief does not oblige either of us until I confirm by email.
  • By uploading a logo, images or other material you confirm you own them or have the right to use them, and you give permission for them to be used to design and build your page.
  • The finished page runs on third-party free hosting tiers as they stand today. Those tiers belong to their providers and can change; if a provider introduces charges, the ongoing cost belongs to the site's owner, and I will tell you before anything changes.
  • The finished page, its content and its accounts are handed over to you. After handover you are responsible for it, and any further work is separate.

The Grant finder

  • The Grant finder (/grants) is a free signposting tool, not advice. It shows a snapshot of grant opportunities republished from official public sources, and grants change, close early, and carry conditions only the funder can state. Always check the official listing, which every entry links to, before relying on anything shown or making an application.
  • The grant information is public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (or the licence stated alongside it), and is reused here with its source, licence and attribution displayed. It remains the property of its publishers.
  • I am not connected to the funders listed, I play no part in their decisions, and I am not responsible for the content, availability or outcome of any grant scheme or application.

The Software Engineer Competency Check

  • The competency check is a free self-assessment of professional knowledge, offered for information and personal development. It is not an accredited qualification, a certification or legal advice, and the participant's employer's own policies always take precedence.
  • Results and reports are generated on the participant's own device. I do not receive them, so I cannot verify a report, and any decision an employer or anyone else makes using one is their own.
  • The questions reflect UK guidance as it stood when the question set was last reviewed. Guidance changes, so check current guidance and your organisation's policies before relying on any answer.

Testimonials

  • By submitting a testimonial you confirm it is genuine and based on real experience.
  • If you upload a logo, you confirm you have the right to allow it to be used with your testimonial.
  • You grant permission to publish only the information you have approved for public display, and only after review.
  • You can ask for your testimonial to be changed or removed at any time.

Intellectual property

The design, text, code and original images on this site belong to Are You Faster CIC or Daniel Bracher, or are used with permission, unless stated otherwise. The illustrative product demonstrations and images shown in the Product Lab are conceptual and use fictional data; they do not represent specific client systems. The grant data shown in the Grant finder is public sector information belonging to its publishers, reused under the open licence displayed alongside it. Please do not copy or reuse the site's own content without permission.

No warranties and liability

The site is provided as is. While I work to keep it accurate and available, I do not guarantee it will always be error free or uninterrupted. To the extent allowed by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites. I am not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
