Open the Jobs tab, tap a job to see its detail, tick checklist items to update progress and status, add a mock photo as evidence, send a pre-drafted status update, and switch to “Next iteration” to preview route view, a priority filter, customer feedback scores and offline support.
What this demonstrates
- A focused prototype can test the core journey before a large build.
- Staff capture the right information while doing the job, not afterwards.
- Each record is structured for future sync, reporting and permissions.
- The first version is shaped to learn from real users quickly.

What a real build could include
The pieces a production version would be assembled from, in plain terms.
Core journey
The single most important flow - job to completion - done well.
Data model
Structured records ready for sync, reporting and permissions.
Offline capture
Work that holds up where signal is poor, then syncs later.
Photo evidence
Attach images to jobs and checks at the point of work.
Notifications
Updates and reminders to the right people at the right time.
Feedback loop
A simple way to learn what to build next from real usage.

The situation
FieldFlow Services (Field engineers and maintenance teams). An idea for a field app needs testing with real people before a heavy build. Job details, notes and photos are captured on paper or written up later, away from the job - so records are slow, patchy and hard to trust. This demo shows how a focused first version proves the core job-to-completion journey with real users before committing to more.
How it would be built
- Focus. Define the single core journey - job to completion - that proves the idea.
- Ship. A polished first version goes live quickly for real engineers to use.
- Extend. Real feedback shapes what gets built next, from routing to offline.
What the demo points out
- 01. Cross-platform MVP. A focused mobile-first prototype of the engineer app, running in a phone frame. The core journey can be tested with real engineers before committing to a large build. Value: Lower risk before you invest.
- 02. Internal field app. Today's jobs with time, client, status and a live completion indicator. Staff access what they need while on the job, instead of writing it up later. Value: Better, faster field data.
- 03. Cloud-backed structure. A checklist, status badge and progress that update as the work is done. Each record is structured for future sync, reporting and permissions - I lean towards Google Cloud, but I'm comfortable building on any major provider. Value: Built to grow.
- 04. Evidence at the point of work. A photo attached to the job from the phone, with a caption and time. Proof is captured on site, not chased up days later. Value: Cleaner, defensible records.
- 05. One-tap updates. A pre-drafted status message the engineer can send to the office or client. Keeping people informed takes a tap, not a phone call after hours. Value: Fewer chasing calls.
- 06. Fast iteration. A version switcher that adds routing, filtering, feedback and offline support. The first version is built to learn from users, then extended from real usage. Value: Build only what matters.
